into the wild

I'm off in a few hours for an excursion into Manhattan, then home from there. I think I should probably do something other than go to the Strand, considering how many books I bought on the way home from CapClave and at World Fantasy. Hmmm. Perhaps I shall merely wander until dinnertime. I have enjoyed being aimless this weekend. It's very restful.

Last night's food from the Malaysian place (which also has Thai food): delicious spring rolls, about the thickness of a cigar; crispy breaded bits of chicken cooked with onions and chilis, "Indian style"; roast duck; my top favorite meat from Coco's, chicken with sliced mango in a spicy sauce; coconut rice; and the bliss of peanut pancakes, which are two thin pancakes with chopped and sweetened peanuts as filling. Mmmmm.
