Those of you who read historicals, do you have a favorite period and geographic region? I think before I asked what periods people liked to read, but not their favorite and why. Is there a period or geographic region that you'd like to read about that doesn't often get written about?
I have a weakness for late Victorian England, probably caused by liking Judith Ivory/Judy Cuevas' novels so much.
The English Regency period seems to be a big favorite, and I've always wondered about that. Is it because we were first Jane Austen fans? Or Georgette Heyer fans? Or something about that period in history itself? Or did market availability build demand?
