Hulk lifts!

I did an angled bench press of 95 pounds last night (that's 50 pounds of plates, plus the bar weighs 45 pounds). I did two sets of five. Extremely shaky sets, but sets, and I didn't really feel any danger until the last couple of presses. I don't dare try anything higher without a spotter, but I am still pretty proud. Maybe I can work on a simple set of five at that weight, with good form.

I am curious if I could manage it with my back flat on the bench - I have trouble with that because my legs are too short, so my feet are either not flat on the floor or I have to put them on the bench itself, which is not at all conducive to lifting higher weights.

Today the Pain shall arrive, and I will think twice about trying it again, but still. 95! I won't be able to resist, really, even if just so I can brag.

I did a bunch of other lifting, too, so am already feeling tightness in my back and legs. (My deadlifts at 95 pounds are 3 sets of 10.) I have a punch card for the massage chair at the gym, and there's someone there on Tuesdays and Thursdays doing ten minute sessions, so I will hopefully be able to stop by before rehearsal.
