2. I just had my second cup of coffee this morning. Normally, one is plenty.
3. I had to pretend to be a pirate this weekend, who was trying to recapture an escaped prisoner while the prisoner swam around the ship and made friends with sharks (but also seemed to be eating sharks - not sushi because "she didn't have all the ingredients, only fish and seaweed"). I tried to lure the former captive and her shark in with crackers, but they stole the crackers. Then the tots captured me and I had to write "I will not be a pirate" and not whine about wanting to be a pirate again so I could have my own ship and steal everyone's gold pieces. It was kind of fun being obstreperous. Apparently, after my reformation I was supposed to become a policeman.
4. I wrote this weekend. Well, really, I only wrote about a page of new material, but I also edited quite a lot - this was an excerpt from a Novel That Never Was, basically a sex scene, which I am attempting to make into a short story. Including adding new framing material, I got it down from 5300 words to about 4300, which leaves approximately 200 words for me to fit in some more historical detail before I submit. Yes, I'm going to edit the whole thing one more time as well.
5. I replenished my favorite expensive face scrub and was very disappointed it now comes in a tube instead of a tub. In a year or so, I'm going to have to cut the tube open to get the last bits out. Annoying!
