Awake!

I gave up yesterday and took an OTC sleeping pill and went to bed early. That worked. I still woke up 3-4 times, but then I just went back to sleep. I feel so much better this morning. Hopefully, I'll be fine tonight. I have come to terms with the fact that I really need 8, preferably 9, hours of sleep a night. If I only get 7 hours, fine for most people, I feel weepy and hate everything.

I ordered my favorite face scrub online (can't find it at my local drugstores), so I added in a bottle of melatonin pills to try (and my favorite sunscreen was on sale!). Should arrive soon.

I, too, and so much happier if I get 8 or 9 hours of sleep. 7 hours only works for a very short run.

Sometimes I find that if I'm suffering from early morning insomnia, the only thing to do is to go to bed really early. Like, 2 or 3 hours earlier than usual. Sometimes it just makes the early waking more bearable, but sometimes it actually tricks me into sleeping through the night.

I have done that on occasion - going to bed at 8 pm instead of 10 pm.

It's just so annoying that it makes such a huge difference in my functioning!

Queen Helene, Oatmeal 'n Honey Natural Facial Scrub - it's cheaper than many brands, too!

I will check it out.

For years I have been using baking soda mixed with my cleanser as a scrub, but sometimes I'd like to use an actual product in its own container and everything. :-)

The baking soda sounds excellent, actually. I do like the scent of the Queen Helene.

Baking soda is a) cheap, and b) so fine-grained that it scrubs away everything without being harsh or scratchy.

Way cheaper than the fancy fine scrub I have from Origins....
