I sent off the story this morning. I was pleased with my edits over the weekend, but then got into a stew of doubt: I can't write any more, the sex scenes are bland and clinical, this totally isn't what the editor wanted.

So I sent it off, to make myself stop whining. Either she'll buy it or she won't. If she doesn't, I can find something else to do with it.

The anthology I thought might be cancelled last year is in fact still on. Of the three stories the editor accepted, the published accepted one. I think I know why they picked that one in particular.

Of the two rejects, this morning I printed one of them and will be mailing it off (yes, physically!) to a different anthology. It's convenient that it just meets minimum word count for that one.

Go me.
