I have decided that twice a week is not really enough for weights, but I don't seem able to manage any more than that because I avoid the gym on the weekends, and I need a couple of weightless days in between lifting sessions. I am pondering what to do about this. In the meanwhile, I want to go 3-4 times a week, 5 if possible, so I can do more cardio, like I was for a while.
I am terrible about financial planning. This year, baby steps on that front. After a year of many large expenses, I'm back to an automatic savings plan. Am also trying to decide if it's worth it to me to pay for a smartphone of some kind. The cheapest I've found so far is with Virgin Mobile, $35 a month after the cost of the phone (various, in the $80-$200 range). I am not the sort of person who has to be cutting edge--my current phone makes people laugh--so this would be a big change for me.
This year, I also need to get started on a new novel, actual writing and not just research and backbrain. First, though, I will finish the short story due February 1.
