offline is nice.

I was mostly offline for my 3-day weekend. I didn't go to the gym, either. I finished a romance novel and read another one, then started reading a YA novel (The Vespertine). I'm getting close to the end of King Leopold's Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa, which has been really, really excellent as an overview of Leopold II and the atrocities of the Congo Free State.

Rehearsal starts tonight! We have four rehearsals before the first concert, The Bawdy Bard (Clement Janequin, Ludwig Senfl, Bernard de Venterdorn, Josquin des Prez, Henry Purcell, Giacomo Gastoldi, Mark Rimple, and Nicolas Gombert). Some of the program will be dramatic readings by a guest actor.

I'm heading out of town on Thursday for a wedding, back on Monday night.
