Back to the gym again!

After a week off resting my injured foot, I went back to the gym last night. Did okay, though I was haphazard in my weightlifting - I need to look at the New Rules book again to see if I can organize a little better. I basically lifted until I was tired. It's kind of cool that, at least in my forearms, I can see the blood rushing to my muscles - it looks all speckly and red for a little while.

After weights, I did five minutes warm-up, four sets of intervals, then rested for five minutes. I went back on the elliptical and did another fifteen minutes or so at an easy pace for me (usually 3.3 - 3.5 mph). I was really tired by then - actually, I was really tired after the intervals.

Weirdly, I wasn't hungry after. I ate half of a protein bar anyway, then ate a chicken sandwich before I went home.

Doing plain cardio today, probably at a higher resistance on the elliptical.
