It's no good reminding myself I've been in the same choral group since 1995, re-auditioning every year. I still get ridiculously nervous every time auditions roll around. It's the only time I regret not having trained as a soloist; when I listen to myself sing the required aria, all I can hear are the flaws.

Strangely, I don't get nervous when I'm singing in a group, even when my section is singing a very exposed part, even when there are only three of us on a part.
