snow day...two?!

I am presently enjoying my second snow day in a row. And today it isn't even actually snowing.

We only got 17 inches this time, but it's wetter and heavier snow than on the weekend. Apparently it was much worse on the roads, and a number of them were closed until this morning. A plow (mounted on the front of a sanitation truck) went down my street around 2:30 this morning. The beeping woke me.

I used the time to do a little tidying and some reading. I also passed the thousand-word mark in the Crimean War story yesterday. It's still shifting and changing weirdly in my head, so I guess the only solution is to keep going and see what happens. I'll probably write more this afternoon or evening. This morning, I'm a little stir crazy, so am out and about, as much as I can be. Public transportation is a little erratic so far, so I don't want to go far.

Luckily, my Dr. Who DVDs arrived the day before the storm, so if needed I can settle in with the extras.

A snowy street.
