Janice Kay Johnson, Open Secret: This is the first of a trilogy depicting three siblings who were separated as children, and are now trying to reconnect. The heroine of this one didn't know she was adopted until she was approached by the hero, a private investigator working on behalf of her genetic sister. I liked that the romance was entangled with her coming to terms with new knowledge about herself and her family, both genetic and adoptive. The two plot elements are interdependent, which made both more conflicted and interesting. It's a Harlequin Superomance, which means the tone is fairly sweet throughout. It was a very soothing read on a bad day.
