progress report: revisions

I wrote by hand last night, so don't have a wordcount--about four pages in my notebook, which ought to be close to a thousand words. Unfortunately, a lot of it is boring crap.

It is potentially useful, though, which is sometimes all I can hope for when drafting; a couple of times in the slog, an idea sparked, and I thought, "There's tension there I can exploit." I shall just pound my head against the notebook and laptop until I figure out how to do that.

I tried to vary my environment by sitting first in a gelato cafe, then in the park, but it proved more distracting than anything else; it was too nice a day. I ended up sitting on my bed with a Tricky album playing on repeat.
