[shakes fist]

I just got an email stating that Delta Airlines will now charge $25 for you to check a second piece of luggage if you are a regular passenger. They don't mention size, so I assume the little duffel that goes on top of your wheeled suitcase counts. Your suitcase is allowed to be 50 pounds or less. If you fork out for first class or business class, you can check up to three bags at 70 pounds each.

I'm sure other airlines will do this soon, but for now, I plan not to fly Delta if I'm going anywhere for over a week. At Christmas, I always have a second small bag.

Problem is, I already have a ticket to San Francisco this summer, on Delta. To go to RWA National. Whose chief freebie is books. I was planning on bringing my little bag solely to hold paperbacks. I will be damned if I will pay $25 for the privilege. Even if it costs more than that to mail them home.

So, since I bought the ticket before the policy was announced (it takes effect May 1), does anyone think a letter to the company will do any good? No, I don't think so, either. Maybe I'll write one anyway, and they can stick me on a no-fly list somewhere.

Righteously pissed off,
No love to Delta,
