I have muscles.

I lifted weights last night! I seem to be recovered from the stomach flu, so I am attempting a new program with weights three times a week, alternating upper and lower body, for the most part. It starts at a fairly low weight, which is good since I've been away from workouts since May 13th (well, I did 3 nights of cardio last week, and there was that disastrous, too-soon attempt on May 30th).

I feel pretty okay today. I don't think it was enough to really make me sore, but who knows, given the time off?

Regardless, I am glad to be back at it. I was worried I would just...stop going. That would be bad.

I worked out. Go me.

I've MAYBE hit the gym twice a month since the the 10K in February. Not good. But I try not to male that a factor limiting going back. I just need to not "try" to go to the gym, but just go to the gym.

We ain't getting any younger, and any time at the gym is better than that amount of time on the couch.

And it always seems much easier once you are actually there. Habit takes over.
