Our winters used to be like this every year. A lot of people seem to have forgotten, after last year's mild one, and the mild ones before that. I guess it's a shock that the cold arrived so suddenly after a warmish period. I always find it difficult to adjust to abrupt shifts.

I have my long puffy coat out, and my fuzzy hat, and this morning I wore the heavy alpaca scarf I bought years ago at Reading Terminal Market. I have not pulled out the Mittens of Frozen Doom yet, as it hasn't been below zero, and I haven't been out walking around too much yet.

I am still enjoying the hell out of About Time volume one. It is the nerdgasm of Dr. Who books.
