Owww.

My triceps are still sore from Monday's weightlifting session.

Perhaps I should scale back a little. *ahem*

Skipped gym on Tuesday because I was just way too stiff and tired, though I did walk home from work. Yesterday, I intended to do the elliptical, but was still tired, so got a haircut instead and walked home from there, which is a good distance.

This morning, my right foot hurt enough (the heel - plantar fascitis) that I took painkillers before I tried stretching it. I've noticed my feet hurt more a couple of days after doing squats. Maybe they're not up to the weight, even though the rest of me is.

Squats would really, really stretch your feet. Do you do some warm up foot stretches first?

I didn't. Oops. It didn't even occur to me that would be necessary, but now that you say it, it makes perfect sense.

Hope that helps!

I had a 2 year long PF flareup that really sucked. Part of a multipoint healing plan was to switch from doing free weight squats and lunges to machine squats and step-ups. There was a lot more to the treatment regimen, but it seemed to help me be less sore after my lower body workouts.

If you are using free weights or the smith machine, you might see if the different angles of the hacksquat or lying leg press machines allow you to work your other muscles without hurting your feet.

Excellent suggestions. I am thinking of, also, saving up for a few more trainer sessions.
